Riley Boutwell 

Riley Boutwell is the Policy Research Intern at Energy Alabama. He is currently pursuing a degree in Global Studies with a focus on sustainable development and a minor in Sustainability at Auburn University.

Originally from Alabama, Riley has been deeply involved in student organizations such as Campus Kitchens, Auburn Abroad, and Sigma Iota Rho Honor Society. His passion for sustainability was further ignited during a study abroad experience in Spain, where he not only learned Spanish but also observed and studied local sustainability practices. These experiences have reinforced his dedication to promoting sustainable practices both locally and globally.

Riley is committed to making a positive impact through his work in sustainability and has contributed to various community and academic projects focused on environmental stewardship. Outside of work and studies, he enjoys engaging in creative activities such as painting, traveling, and hiking. He also loves exploring different cultures and continues to seek opportunities for travel and learning.
